Lupus has gotten more media coverage this month than usual.  Several news outlets finally picked up the story about Michael Jackson having Lupus and it is fascinating how many of Michael's eccentricities, such as the umbrella, masks, hats, makeup, and even the signature white glove could have been caused by Lupus.  There have been several other mentions of Lupus in the media this month. Showtime mentioned Lupus on 2 of their hit shows this month.  Many local TV and radio stations covered Lupus walks and the Ad Council campaign is picking up steam.  Let's keep the pressure on them to keep Lupus in the News.

Our 2009 Lupus Walk Team is starting to pick up speed.  We are doing things a bit differently this year.  We hare having mini- fundraisers every month to help raise our donations.  This year we are not participating in the planning of the walk so that we can concentrate on raising money for Lupus awareness and research.  If you support our website, you can now help us support Lupus awareness and research by donating to our walk team.  If you or somebody you know are already participating in the Iowa Walk you can contact them for details on how to donate.

This month we made a lot of changes to our products.  We removed some products that we can no longer get as well as products that just don't sell well.  Remaining supplies have been placed on Clearance.  We have added some new products and even reduced the prices on the some items.  We are always open to hear  your ideas &  feedback: webmaster@cure4lupus.org  

Cure4Lupus.org, The Lupus Foundation and most Lupus awareness organizations use purple as the color for Lupus awareness, but there are some groups (Lupus LA, SLE Lupus Foundation, etc.) that use orange.  We support everyone who works for Lupus awareness and we want to include everyone on our website so we have added some Orange Ribbon Products.
