This month one of our new pages was titled "Get Involved Locally".  We need your help to fill this page.  If you know of opportunities in your area to get involved in the fight against Lupus, please email them to us at webmaster@cure4lupus.org.  These opportunities can involve ways to donate to Lupus research and awareness, volunterring opportunities, support group opportunities, and more.  We just want to offer our visitors a way to "get their hands dirty".  We can feel so helpless at times, getting involved can help you feel more empowered and help you fight your own Lupus.   

We have added a gadget to the front page of our website that scrolls through the pictures posted on our Memory Wall.  If you would like to post a picture on our wall and have it scroll on our front page, all you have to do is visit our Memory Wall, choose which brick you would like, and donate $10 to the Lupus Foundation of America's Research Initiative.  You will then be prompted to upload your picture.  Your picture will automatically be loaded into our front page gadget and will be available for all to see.  Once the wall is full we will choose a different Lupus charity.

There is no denying that it is summer!  But, summer brings with it many Lupus walks around the country.  Many of the major Lupus organizations including the Lupus Foundation of America and the Alliance for Lupus Research put on walks in cities across the US.  You can visit our Lupus events calendar to find out what events are happening in your area.  We encourage all of you to get involved in a walk, even if you are unable to walk, you can be a virtual walker and still help raise money for the Lupus cause.  If you don't have an event in your area, you can Join our Walk team.
