No New Drug in 50 Years! |
On November 20th an unfortunate anniversary was marked. Last Thursday was the 50th anniversary of Quinacrine, an anti-malarial drug, being approved to treat Lupus. That was the last drug the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved specifically to treat Lupus.

The Holidays & Lupus |
With all of the holidays coming up we wanted to share with you some things that might make your holidays easier & might help you raise Lupus Awareness at the same time.
We have included some helpful hints on a wide range obstacles facing Lupus patients

REACH Amendments |
As time winds down on this Congress, time to get the Lupus REACH Amendments of 2007 passed into law is drawing to an end. There is however still time. In addition to passing the amendments on their own, Congress can also package the bill with another health bill. But, we need more co-sponsors and we need to let our congress people know how important it is to pass this legislation before this Congress adjourns and we have to start over with new legislation. PLEASE urge all of your friends, family, co-workers, etc. to write and/or call their congress people. Sample letters and contact info can be found here.
