On November 4th Americans will be making possibly the most important decision in history and your voice needs to be heard! We urge you to consider Lupus, and related issues such as health care, social security, Medicare and more when you go into that voting booth. You can also discuss these issues with your family and friends to let them know how important they are. To see where the candidates stand, you can visit our candidate comparison, which also includes our endorsement, or our list of political candidates in other races that support Lupus related issues. If you haven't registered, you can visit Rock the Vote's website. |
In addition to the donations we make to the LFA and ALR, we want to donate to the organizations that are supporting our visitors on a local level. One way we have decided to do this is with donation codes. Each organization has been assigned their own code that entitles them to 10% of all orders made under that code. We are also offering, free of charge, customized mini-catalogs, to be distributed to supporters, newsletter articles, sample letters & emails, webads, posters, and any other materials needed to promote the group's donation code. If you know of a group who may be interested in this fundraiser, please direct them to our Lupus Group Fundraiser page. |

As time winds down on this Congress, time to get the Lupus REACH Amendments of 2007 passed into law is drawing to an end. There is however still time. In addition to passing the amendments on their own, Congress can also package the bill with another health bill. But, we need more co-sponsors and we need to let our congress people know how important it is to pass this legislation before this Congress adjourns and we have to start over with new legislation. PLEASE urge all of your friends, family, co-workers, etc. to write and/or call their congress people. Sample letters and contact info can be found here. |
