Who you vote for could affect you access to treatment, Lupus research and more. See where the candidates stand on issues important to Lupus such as healthcare, disability, stem cell research, Medicare, medical research and more. Also, find out who we are endorsing. Also, we have posted candidates in state and local races that support Lupus and Lupus related issues on our Political Candidates page. It is that time again! The 2008 Iowa Walk for Lupus Now is two short months away. This year our team goal is $2000. We need your help to reach that goal! There are two ways you can help! You can make a donation to our team by visiting our team page. Or you can join our team and help us raise donations. You do not have to walk, you can be a virtual team member. Visit our team page to sign-up. If you do not have a walk in your area, or you just want to do more for Lupus Research, this is a great opportunity to help! |
We are excited to announce our new program that allows you to choose what is done with the proceeds of your purchase from our Lupus Products store. Visit our organization code page, choose an organization, enter your organization's code when you checkout. We will then donate 10% of your total order to the organization of your choice. We will also continue making the donations to Lupus Research organizations that we have always made. Donate to your favorite organization or walk team by shopping for Lupus Awareness Products today! |

As you may know, on December 19, 2007, President Bush signed the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007. Under this law all light bulbs must use 25-30% less energy by 2012-2014. Today's incandescent bulbs do not meet the standards, therefore there will be a phase out to compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs). Unfortunately, fluorescent light bulbs can cause photosensitivity in Lupus patients. The Lupus Foundation of America wants to take stories of these lights causing problems for Lupus patients to congress. Visit our CFLs & Lupus page to submit your story or find out more. |
