CFLs & Lupus

As you may know, on December 19, 2007, President Bush signed the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.  Under this law all light bulbs must use 25-30% less energy by 2012-2014.  Today's incandescent bulbs do not meet the standards, therefore there will be a phase out to compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs).  Unfortunately, fluorescent light bulbs can cause photosensitivity in Lupus patients.  The Lupus Foundation of America wants to take stories of these lights causing problems for Lupus patients to congress.  Visit our CFLs & Lupus page to submit your story or find out more.
